My name is Katie Wilden and I am a part-time lecturer at Easton and Otley College and teach within the animal studies department and on the teacher training team. This is my second action research project. After all the training, support , networking opportunities and insight I gained from working on my first project, I’m really excited to be working on this project. I’m looking forward to increasing my skills set further and hoping to increase communication with employers to build a positive and effective networking community
The idea for this project came about, as part of my work remit is the coordinating of work experience . At present the communication is either directly between me and the students or me and industry. I want to make create a social space that allows everyone interested within the animal studies sector a platform to communicate, share and gain information. This project is really focussing on what staff, students and industry want.
To give a more personal and reflective view of some key topics covered in this research report I have recorded some video blogs. They were fun to record and are a quick way for me to share my ideas and reflections with you. Click below and I will introduce myself!
